It is the second year running that ORANGE is not included in Pantone's colour forecast...? 2008 saw blue re-insurgence with the 'IRIS blue'. 2009 saw orange getting pushed aside by 'Mimosa yellow'. Next year promises to be interesting with pinks and purples making a run for first spot while greens and browns (the neutral naturals) aim to keep their influence. (refer to colour Palettes above)
But are we likely to see ORANGE soon? Perhaps not.
Yellow is indeed the new Orange. It is surprising to know, however, that Orange is a favourite colour amongst young designers (graphic, product and web palettes alike) So do designers have the power to change the course of upcoming colour trends??? If you think Orange has a rightful place in next year's popular consumer palette - let us know.
why not use the new pantone color palette as background for the site? Keep on moving...
